The past months have brought many changes to the hospital as each department has undergone updates to bring them up to government health standards.
One of these departments that has had mandates met is the X-ray department. There have been many changes over the years, going from the “wet-read” process where freshly developed, wet X-rays were hung on a clothesline to dry to the current digital, computerized developed and printed X-rays.
The “new” x-ray room now has lead walls and an enlarged and lead-covered door. The enlarged door allows for stretchers and wheelchairs to navigate in and out more easily.
Also, a part of the remodel is an added changing room where patients can put on a gown in privacy.
