The Kinsey Brigade took a general surgery team to Hospital Socorro de lo Alto July 6 – July 11, 2024. This team has been coming to Hospital S
ocorro de lo Alto for years. The current team consisted of 20 people including 2 general surgeons, 5 anesthesia personnel, 4 scrub techs., 2 RN’s and several other volunteers. After touring the Hospital and the operating rooms area, (with all the new equipment!) the team worked Sunday morning through Wednesday evening. There were 8 volunteers who participated in this mission work for the first time. What a life changing experience! We had a busy week as 40 surgeries were performed, in addition to assisting the Honduran ENTDoctor (Ears Nose and Throat) with 2 procedures. It was great to see so many people volunteer their time for such a worthy cause. We had a wonderful mission trip and all members were truly grateful for the experience.
