Since 2014, Hospital Socorro de lo Alto has been taking health to the surrounding village in Honduras. On August 23, 2022, a very successful Village Salud (Health) Fair was held. Half of the Hospital staff participated and all the services provided were free to those who came.
In one day, the doctors and nurses provided consultations for 152 patients- 92 were adults and 60 were children.
Significant diagnoses were made. Some of the adult patients were diagnosed with arterial hypertension, others were helped with diabetes control, gastritis, joint pain, coughing, and allergies.
The children were schoolchildren, seen for the control of worms and provision of vitamins. This is a program called The Healthy Child.
KUDOS to the staff of the Hospital for bringing health to the neighboring communities!!!! By doing this work, the personnel of the Hospital are helping to fulfill the mission of the Hospital: To improve the lives of the Honduran people by providing affordable health care and spiritual support.
